O’Connor candidates to face Esperance voters at forum

Esperance voters will have a chance to meet candidates in the seat of O’Connor for the upcoming May 18 federal election.

The Esperance Chamber of Commerce and Industry is hosting a free ‘meet the candidates’ forum on Tuesday, May 7 from 2pm to 4pm at Suite 21, Dutton Arcade.

Each candidate will have a chance to make a brief presentation, followed by questions and answers from voters.

Both business representatives and community members are welcome to attend.

O’Connor is currently held by Rick Wilson for the Liberal Party. Mr Wilson is running for a third term.

The Nationals candidate John Hassell, Labor candidate Shelley Payne, Greens candidate Nelson Blake Gilmour, United Australia Party candidate Anthony Fels, Australian Christians candidate Ian Hart, Western Australia Party candidate Peter Swift, One Nation candidate Dean Smith and The Great Australian Party candidate Nicholas Robinson are also running in the seat.

Although, all candidates have been invited, some may not be able to participate due to prior commitments.

Voters wishing to attend are asked to RSVP to [email protected] for catering purposes.
