GAP believes the most fundamental and foremost responsibility of any government is the provision of physical security for the protection of the nation and its people. As part of the Commonwealth we will work in with other Commonwealth countries to better assure the defence of all our borders from foreign invasion.
The conventional means of affecting this is through the maintenance of a capable defence force to combat any threat to our people, fully supported by police and a well-trained reserve force backed by a strong sound competitive manufacturing capacity.
Gap will make it imperative to have as much as possible, Australian made hardware and apparel throughout supplied to our defence forces. Any external and locally sourced military equipment will be made using world best practices.
